BiomX reports positive Phase 2 topline results for BX211 phage treatment of diabetic foot osteomyelitis

BiomX announced positive topline safety and efficacy results from its Phase 2 DANCE trial of the BX211 phage treatment for diabetic foot osteomyelitis associated with Staphylococcus aureus. BX211 was safe and well tolerated and produced a sustained reduction of ulcer size versus placebo (non-adjusted p = 0.046 at week 12 and p = 0.052 at week 13), with separation from placebo from week 7. BiomX is planning a Phase 2/3 trial, pending FDA feedback.
