Competition-funded PhD project in the School of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, University of Bristol (Dr Maisem Laabei, Dr Scott Lovell), through the GW4 BioMed3 MRC DTP. It uses a covalent phage display platform from the Lovell lab to screen peptide-displaying phage libraries for targeted covalent macrocycle inhibitors of the complement proteases C1s and factor D, then characterises the hits.
