Feature on the Reference Center for Complex Osteoarticular Infections (CrioaC) at Croix-Rousse Hospital in Lyon, where Professor Tristan Ferry's team treats patients at a therapeutic impasse with phages, a treatment the service has pioneered in France. Because phage therapy is not yet authorized in France, it is given in a tightly controlled way: under a compassionate-access authorization (AAC) validated by the ANSM, free of charge outside that route, or within a phase II clinical trial run with Phaxiam.
