His current research activity focuses on the isolation and characterisation of bacteriophages against bacteria implicated in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). During his doctoral research activity, he isolated and characterised bacteriophages infecting phytopathogens and preformed comparative genomics allowing the formation of new phage genera.
