I first got into phage (from my background in classical virology) back in 1997 when it was still "that funny Russian stuff". When we succeeded with the first demonstration of efficacy in a regulated human clinical trial, reported in 2009, it stopped being funny. It's now very real While I now focus on other biological control technologies we have recently established our affiliate US company to develop a novel, low cost approach to taking phage therapy to market.. Alongside that, I continue to write, and to share my (sometimes controversial) perspectives on the field.
