I am a dedicated inventor, scientist, and R&D director with a firm belief in the transformative potential of synthetic biology and genetic engineering for precision medicine and personalized healthcare. I have spent over 13 years studying phages and endolysins, and recently completed a nine-year tenure at ETH Zurich where I oversaw pioneering research projects in many areas including genetic engineering of phages, development of rapid diagnostics, and deciphering the structure and function of phage infection mechanisms. Currently, I serving as the Director for Drug Discovery at Micreos Pharmaceuticals, leading strategic efforts to develop innovative antimicrobial agents using phage and endolysins. I remain a Guest Scientist at ETH Zurich and provide scientific advice to various phage-related academic projects internationally.
