Yves Briers is a professor at Ghent University and the co-founder and CEO of Obulytix (founded 2023), which develops phage lysins as enzyme-based antibiotics. He has worked on phage lysins since 2004, at KU Leuven, ETH Zurich, and Ghent University, with a focus on engineering lysins against Gram-negative pathogens.
